I first started distance running during the pandemic. My health was on the decline and I wasn’t mentally in a good place. Running became a good outlet to improve my health. Although I struggled immensely in the beginning as I fought thru different pains and mental blocks. I stayed consistent and eventually saw progress. As I got better I wanted to continue to challenge myself. That led to my first half marathon and then a year later my first marathon. I joined a run club and was greatly inspired by other runners. I have continued to push myself to achieve new heights. I have had the privilege to be an ambassador for Brooks. That opportunity helped me learn more about the running community and that I have more to learn and more to give/share within the community.
After being a Run Project ambassador the past year I’ve learned that I would like to continue to grow and making a positive impact in the running community and help Run Project grow more.
