When volunteering for a race, it’s important to consider how you want to contribute in one of our volunteer roles. Whether it’s assisting at water stations, directing runners, or helping with registration, choosing a role that aligns with your interests can make the experience more fulfilling.

Volunteer Positions

Join our cause in aiding local nonprofit organizations through participating in running events. Enjoy the excitement of our high-quality races and become a member of a compassionate community.

Job Title:

Load-In/Load-Out Volunteer

Volunteers that help set-up or tear down the whole production. Volunteers are the first ones to arrive and the last to go home.

Job Title:

Venue Volunteer

Volunteers that are placed at the start/finish/sponsor venue to help distribute or monitor items for participants. These volunteers could be responsible for things like medal distribution, food monitoring, water distribution for example.

Registration Volunteer

Volunteers responsible for distributing swag items to participants before the race begins. This position is asked to come early to the start/finish venue to help get runners checked in.

Course Monitor

Volunteers that are strategically placed along the race route to direct and cheer on athletes at specific intersections/locations. Volunteers may also have to redirect any traffic that approaches the race route.

Water Stop Volunteer

Volunteers stategically placed along the race route to set-up, serve and tear down water station. Supplies are provided by race staff.

Run Project represents the top 2% of running events that are locally owned and operated in the Texas area. They are part of the Racing Systems, Inc family of brands. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience for runners right here in our local community and to give back to organizations in the Dallas/FW area. Run Local. Give Local.
All registration is done either online, during packet pickup or race day at the Run Project Registration booth. Each race webpage on this site also provides a link to our registration site. All registrations are electronic only.
You can find the deadline for online registration on each race page. Historically, our races often sell out. When this happens and registration closes early, we’ll post that information on this website. Online registration will stay open until sale out or up to race time.
Yes, see specific event pages for race day registration information, but remember our races often sell out. When this happens, there will be no race day registration. We’ll post that information on this website.
Race results are typically available on our website for a period of one year. After that, they may be archived or removed from public access.

You can get free Run Project training programs. See your registration confirmation email for link or event page. Run Project also has a number of blogs all based around training. 

REFUNDS: Because of the nature of event planning, all entry fee payments are non-refundable and all sales are final.

Your entry can be transferred to a friend or to a new race though! See information on transfers. 

You may also consider purchasing the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program during registration.

Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program

Participants that enroll in the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program  will be refunded if they are unable to attend due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances, such as:

  •  Injury & illness
  •  COVID-19
  •  Severe weather
  •  Pregnancy complications

THIS IS NOT INSURANCE

The company or website that sold you the live event registration, tickets or event entry (the seller or “we”) has arranged for Protecht, Inc. to service its enhanced refund program. On their behalf, Protecht will handle all refund requests.

This website will give you the latest information. We also invite you to connect with us on Facebook or Instagram. We will also be sending you emails to keep you up to date. We encourage you to enable SMS text messaging. We only use SMS messaging to communicate in case of emergency during a race. Such an emergency could be a delay of the race, or dangerous conditions with weather.

Need/Want to park closer to the start/finish line? During the registration process you will be able to purchase VIP Parking (when available). You can also retroactively purchase a parking spot via the Store within your Race Roster Portal.
