Fort Worth Oktoberfest 5K & Fun Run Brings Bavarian Fun to Trinity Park with New Certified Course

Fort Worth, TX – Lace up your running shoes—and maybe your lederhosen! The Fort Worth Oktoberfest 5K & Fun Run, hosted by Run Project, returns on Saturday, September 27, 2025, and it’s better than ever with a brand-new USATF-certified 5K course along the scenic Trinity River.

This festive race kicks off Fort Worth Oktoberfest weekend, combining fitness, community, and celebration. Runners of all levels can enjoy the professionally timed 5K or a relaxed Fun Run, all while soaking in the riverside views and Bavarian cheer.

All participants receive a custom 2025 Oktoberfest race shirt, a finisher medal, a 2025 Fort Worth Oktoberfest commemorative glass stein, free food and drink including hot dogs and 2 beer tickets included on your Oktoberfest race day bib good for one beer each at the Run Project Oktoberfest 5K Beer tent. Last but not least registered runners will receive a FREE 3-day pass granting them entry into the Fort Worth Oktoberfest running from Thursday September 25 to Saturday September 27, the day of the race—giving them access to authentic German food, live music, carnival games, the Dachshund Dash, and more.

“This year’s new certified course adds an exciting element for competitive runners while keeping the fun vibe for everyone,” said organizers from Run Project. “It’s not just about running—it’s about Prosting your way to the finish line.”

Attendees can also enjoy the costume contest, beer hoisting competition, the largest team competition, and post-race Biergarten celebration featuring free food and cold brews. Dressing in dirndls and lederhosen is highly encouraged!
